More than 1,000 votes were cast in response to April's poll question: Which is the top company of the past 10 years? As part of our 10th anniversary celebration, the Stevie® Awards, organizer of the world’s premier business awards, has introduced several polls to help celebrate the companies, people, events, and products that have shaped our lives throughout the past 10 years.Facebook Logo

You voted Facebook as the top company of the past 10 years with 35% of all votes cast.

Other companies included in the poll were:

A) Apple- 30%

B) Google- 31%

C) Research in Motion- 1%

D) Tata Group- 1%

E) Virgin- 2%

To help celebrate to 10th anniversary of the Stevie® Awards, organizer of the world’s premier business awards, we have introduced a monthly poll series recognizing the organizations, events, people, and products that have shaped our lives over the past decade.

Our April poll asks, Which is the top company of the past 10 years? After careful consideration, we've narrowed the choices to the following six companies. Vote now for your choice, on our poll on our Facebook page:

Nearly 900 votes were cast to answer March's poll question, What’s the top new product or service of the past 10 years? As part of our 10th anniversary celebration, the Stevie® Awards, organizer of the world’s premier business awards, has introduced a monthly poll series to celebrate the events, people, organizations, and products that shaped our lives over the past decade.

You voted Apple's iPhone as the top new product or service of the past 10 years with 39% of all votes cast. Apple iPhone

You've voted the rise of social media as the top business story of the past decade, with 31% of all votes cast.

Other options in the poll were

a) Apple’s introduction of the iPhone sparks a revolution in mobile computing (26%) Stevie Awards Poll

b) Wall Street’s troubles trigger the “Great Recession” (18%)

c) Europe’s sovereign debt crisis heralds an era of austerity across the continent (10%)

d) The rise of the BRIC economies (Brazil, Russia, India and China) changes the balance of power in international trade (14%)
