There are a good many HR awards categories to choose from in The American Business Awards, although there are only three that are specifically labelled as HR:
Human Resources Department of the Year
Human Resources Team of the Year
Human Resources Executive of the Year
Here are some others that human resources professionals should consider submitting nominations to:
- In the Video categories, there are categories such as Internal/Employee Communications, Motivational, Orientation, and Training
- In the Live Event categories, consider categories including Best Internal Recognition/Motivational Event and Best Sales Meeting
- The Web Site or Blog categories including Best Training Site and Best Video Site
- Interactive Multimedia (DVD or CD based) categories include Training and Professional Education
While we're talking about HR awards in the ABA, we'd like to congratulate Russell J. Campanello on his being named Senior Vice President of Human Resources at iRobot. As Senior Vice President, Human Resources and Administration, with Phase Forward in Waltham, MA, Russell won the Stevie Award for Human Resources Executive of the Year in the 2009 ABAs.
