다양한 크기의 조직과 실질적으로 모든 산업의 조직으로부터 제출된 2,100여 출품작들이 올해의 경쟁에서 평가 받았고, 이는 2015년보다 11% 증가한 것입니다. 본선 진출작은 예선 심사를 진행한 세계 곳곳에 있는 115명의 전문가들의 평균 점수에 의해 결정되었습니다. 출품작들은 올해의 컨택 센터, 고객 서비스 혁신상, 올해의 컨설팅 실행상을 포함하여 고객 서비스와 컨택 센터 성과에 관한 59개의 카테고리 안에서, 또한 올해의 시니어 영업 임원에서 올해의 비즈니스 개발 성과까지 둘러싼 영업과 비즈니스 개발 성과에 관한 50개의 카테고리 안에서, 그리고 새로운 상품과 서비스와 솔루션 제공자들을 인정하는 카테고리들 안에서 검토되었습니다.
일곱 분야로 특화된 심사위원단의 60여 멤버들은 2월 초 최종 심사 기간에 본선진출작 중에서 스티비상 금상, 은상, 동상을 결정했습니다.
