10th International Business Awards Announce Stevie Award Winners

Business Awards to Celebrate Excellence Worldwide at Barcelona Event

Organizations and individuals in more than 40 nations have been announced as Gold, Silver and Bronze Stevie® Award winners in The 10th Annual International Business Awards, the world’s only international, all-encompassing business awards program.

Stevie AwardNicknamed the Stevies from the Greek word “crowned,” the awards will be presented at a gala event on Monday, 14 October at the W Hotel in Barcelona, Spain. Tickets for the event are on sale now at www.StevieAwards.com/IBA.    

Winning 70 Gold Stevie Awards this year, organizations and individuals in the United States made the best showing.  South Korea came in second place with 43 Golds, while Turkey earned an impressive 21 Gold Stevies.  The United Kingdom earned 19 Gold followed by host nation Spain with 12, Canada with 11, China with 10, Australia with eight, Singapore with six, and the Philippines and the United Arab Emirates with five each.

The top Gold Stevie winner this year is Jack Morton Worldwide (UK and the USA) with five.  Accenture (USA), Maras Group (Australia), and Weber Shandwick (Brazil, Hong Kong and the UK) are runners-up with four each. Winners of three Gold Stevies are Best Doctors, Inc. (USA), Burson-Marsteller (Australia and the UAE), Coca-Cola Turkey (Turkey), Finansbank A.S. (Turkey), Globe Telecom (the Philippines), Ignacio de las Cuevas S.A. (Spain), KW Digital (Sweden), LLORENTE & CUENCA (Spain), Nu Skin Enterprises (China, Hong Kong, Taiwan), Reading Room (Singapore), and RTR Rete Rinnovabile (Italy).

Gold, Silver and Bronze Stevie winners were selected from more than 3,300 nominations received from organizations and individuals in more than 50 nations.  All organizations worldwide are eligible to compete in The International Business Awards, and can nominate in a wide range of categories, including management awards, company/organization awards, marketing awards, public relations awards, customer service awards, human resources awards, new product awards, IT awards, web site awards, and more.  

More than 100 professionals around the world participated in preliminary judging in May-July.  Their average scores determined the entries that were eligible to be considered in final judging, which was performed earlier this month by the members of 10 specialized committees.  In total, nearly 300 executives around the world participated in the judging process this year. 

Next week the winners of the Best of the IBA Awards, five best-of-competition prizes, will be announced.

16 Days to 2013 Stevie® Awards for Women in Business Entry Deadline

August 28 is the entry deadline for the 2013 (10th annual) Stevie® Awards for Women in Business, the world's premier business awards for women executives, entrepreneurs, and the organizations they run. Stevie® Awards for Women in Business Logo

If you haven't already done so, you can request an entry kit here and it will be emailed to you right away. The entry kit contains all of the information you'll need to be able to prepare and submit entries.

All female entrepreneurs, executives, and the organizations they run, worldwide, are eligible to be nominated. The Stevie Awards for Women in Business feature more than 80 categories to recognize achievement in many facets of worklife. Business award categories include entrepreneur awards, executive awards, management team awards, company of the year awards, PR awards, marketing awards, new product awards, website awards, app awards, and more.

The eligibility period for 2013 entries extends from July 1, 2012 - your entries should describe achievements since that date.  The only exceptions to this rule are the Best New Company, Lifetime Achievement, and web site categories - there is no eligibility timeframe period for these categories. Last Day to Vote for Your Favorite New Products of the Year

People's Choice Stevie AwardsToday, Friday, August 9, is the last day to vote in the 5th edition of the People's Choice Stevie® Awards for Favorite New Products, as part of The American Business Awards, the nation’s premier business awards program.

Voting is open at http://peopleschoice.stevieawards.com and will conclude at 11:59PM ET tonight.

This is a nationwide vote in which the general public will get to choose one favorite product in more than 30 categories including:

  • Favorite Cloud App/Service
  • Favorite Consumer Product
  • Favorite Hardware
  • Favorite Telecommunications Service

All new products and services that were nominated in the new product awards categories of The 2013 American Business Awards are automatically included in people’s choice voting. Organizations will have the opportunity to win two awards: a Gold, Silver, or Bronze Stevie Award, as determined by professionals in the ABAs’ peer-review judging, and a crystal People's Choice Stevie Award, as determined by the public vote.

Winners of the crystal People's Choice Stevie Awards will be announced at The American Business Awards' new product and tech awards banquet at the Julia Morgan Ballroom in San Francisco on September 16.

103 Preliminary Judges for The International Business Awards

As we get ready to wrap up the final round of judging for The 10th Annual International Business Awards tomorrow, we want to acknowledge the contribution of the 103 professionals worldwide who participated in the preliminary round of judging for the 2013 IBAs.

Stevies 2013 LogoThe International Business Awards are the world's top business accolades, recognizing achievement in every facet of the workplace.  The IBAs feature categories to recognize achievements in management, new product development, marketing, public relations, creative media such as websites and apps, customer service, human resources, and more.

The preliminary round of judging, conducted from early May through mid-July, determined the entries in this year's IBAs that were eligible to be considered in the final round of judging, which began on July 29 and concludes on August 7.

Final Judging Chairs Named for International Business Awards

Final judging of The 2013 (10th Annual) International Business Awards, the world's top business honors, is set to begin next week, and today the names of the chairs of the 10 final judging committees were revealed.

The IBAs recognize achievement in every facet of the workplace, and this year received a record-number of entries from organizations in more than 50 nations.  Final judging will begin on July 29 and conclude on August 7, and will determine the Gold, Silver and Bronze Stevie® Award winners who will then be announced on August 14.  The awards themselves will be presented on October 14 at the W Hotel in Barcelona, Spain.

Wednesday, July 24, is the early-bird entry deadline for the 2013 (10th annual) Stevie® Awards for Women in Business, the world's premier business awards for women executives, entrepreneurs, and the organizations they run. (If you haven't already done so, you can request an entry kit and it will be emailed to you right away. The entry kit contains all of the information you'll need to be able to prepare and submit entries.)The Stevie Awards 2013 Logo

All female entrepreneurs, executives, and the organizations they run, worldwide, are eligible to be nominated. The Stevie Awards for Women in Business feature more than 80 categories to recognize achievement in many facets of worklife. Business award categories include entrepreneur awards, executive awards, management team awards, company of the year awards, PR awards, marketing awards, new product awards, website awards, app awards, and more.

The eligibility period for 2013 entries extends from July 1, 2012 - your entries should describe achievements since that date.  The only exceptions to this rule are the Best New Company, Lifetime Achievement, and web site categories - there is no eligibility timeframe period for these categories. You can begin by registering here.

If you can't make the July 24 early-bird entry deadline, August 28 is the entry deadline, and September 25 is the last day that entries will be accepted with payment of $35 late fee per entry. Finalists will be announced on October 9 and 2013 winners will be celebrated at an awards gala on November 8 at the Marriott Marquis Hotel in New York City.
