However, the founder and CEO of Fasihi GmbH, a specialist for customized software solutions and web portals, didn’t win in just this category. He also received a Silver Stevie Award in the category “Company of the Year – Computer Software up to 250 Employees.” Fasihi was a political refugee from Iran who came to Germany 31 years ago with no money, family or friends but a lot of ideas and ambition. In 1990, right after his application for political asylum was accepted, he started his own business and successfully grew Fasihi GmbH into a medium-sized software company that today employs approximately 70 people, the majority of whom are Internet technology specialists. ![Saeid Fasihi at the Awards Ceremony in Hamburg](https://blog.stevieawards.com/hs-fs/hubfs/GSA17_Ceremony/Fasihi_01.jpg?width=543&name=Fasihi_01.jpg "Saeid Fasihi at the Awards Ceremony in Hamburg") Fasihi GmbH has its headquarters in Ludwigshafen am Rhein. “In the Rhine-Neckar metropolitan area, we are the point of contact for customized software solutions and web portals,” says Fasihi, describing his company’s area of expertise. “We provide efficient solutions for the optimization and digitalization of business processes.” With the web-based portal technology, which earned the company the “Software Made in Germany” and “Software Hosted in Germany” seals of approval, sophisticated company-specific solutions are able to meet the information and communication requirements of large- and medium-sized companies. Customers from various industries use over 60 portals, which more than 100,000 users work with. “Use of our software solutions creates the basis for better communication, reduces the complexity of an IT landscape and cuts costs at the same time, Fasihi says.” Fasihi GmbH has been certified according to the internationally recognized industry standard ISO 9001 since 2010. The security concept developed by Fasihi, which involves the encryption and classification of data, was awarded the 2011 Innovation Prize by the Federal State of Rhineland-Palatinate and is a key component of all of the company’s software solutions. In 2014, the company received the Grand Prize of Medium-Sized Enterprises, and in 2016 it was awarded the Honorary Plaque at the federal level. Fasihi GmbH has been profitable since it was founded. In 2016, sales revenue reached 5.6 million euros. “Our annual company outing surely contributes to employee loyalty, the good working atmosphere and the winning culture here. All of our employees also have permanent employment contracts and benefit from an employer insurance plan,” Fasihi explains with pride. The Gold Stevie winner thinks it is particularly exciting how the IT industry is currently moving toward digitalization. This will require his company to remain at the forefront of the latest technologies to permanently meet customer requirements in the best ways possible. Der Gründer und Geschäftsführer der [Fasihi GmbH](http://www.fasihi.net), einem Spezialisten für individuelle Softwarelösungen und Webportale, gewann aber nicht nur in dieser Kategorie. Einen Stevie Award in Silber gab’s zudem in der Kategorie Unternehmen des Jahres - Computer-Software bis 250 Mitarbeiter.** Vor 31 Jahren kam Saeid Fasihi ohne Geld, Familie und Freunde, aber mit vielen Ambitionen und Ideen als politischer Flüchtling aus dem Iran nach Deutschland. Mit der webbasierten Portaltechnologie, für die das Unternehmen die Gütesiegel „Software Made in Germany“ und „Software Hosted in Germany“ erhielt, ließen sich anspruchsvolle firmenindividuelle Lösungen für Informations- und Kommunikationsanforderungen großer und mittlerer Unternehmen erfüllen. Bei den Kunden aus verschiedenen Branchen sind über 60 Portale im Einsatz, mit denen mehr als 100.000 Nutzer arbeiten. Fasihi: „Der Einsatz unserer Softwarelösungen schafft die Basis für eine bessere Kommunikation, reduziert die Komplexität einer IT-Landschaft und spart gleichzeitig Kosten ein.“ Die Fasihi GmbH ist seit 2010 nach der international anerkannten Industrienorm ISO 9001 zertifiziert. Das von Fasihi entwickelte Konzept zur Sicherheit durch Verschlüsselung und Klassifizierung von Daten wurde mit dem Innovationspreis 2011 des Landes Rheinland-Pfalz ausgezeichnet und ist Bestandteil aller Software-Lösungen. 2014 wurde dem Unternehmen der Große Preis des Mittelstandes verliehen, 2016 erhielt es die Ehrenplakette auf Bundesebene. Seit ihrem Bestehen schreibt die Fasihi GmbH nur schwarze Zahlen. Im Jahr 2016 erreichte der Umsatz 5,6 Millionen Euro. Das Unternehmen beschäftigt derzeit rund 70 Mitarbeiter, größtenteils Internettechnologie-Spezialisten. „Zur Mitarbeiterbindung, zum guten Betriebsklima und damit auch zur Gewinnerkultur trägt sicher auch unser jährlicher Firmenausflug bei. Außerdem haben alle Mitarbeiter unbefristete Arbeitsverträge und profitieren von einer Arbeitgeberversicherung“, erzählt Saeid Fasihi mit einigem Stolz. Der Gold-Stevie Gewinner Fasihi findet derzeit besonders spannend, wie sich die IT-Branche in Richtung Digitalisierung verändert. Das erfordere für sein Unternehmen, ständig auf dem neuesten Stand der Technologie zu sein, um die Kundenanforderungen dauerhaft optimal erfüllen zu können.
